- Go to VOTER REGISTRATION
> Record Correspondence from Voter.
- On the Find a Voter
dialog, enter the voter’s information. Determine whether the voter
is in your county or is moving into your county from another county
and will also require an address change. If the voter is yours, click
Local Search. If they are
a move-in, click FVRS Search.
- Scan the list of matches returned by the search. When
you find the voter, click the name to display their information in
the Correspondence
from Voter dialog.
- In the Card Returned
by Voter box, select the last button to activate the drop-down
list of voter response types and select the one that matches the written
notice from the voter.
- Click Address Change
Inside State.
- On the Voter
New Address dialog, enter the voter's new name. If they are a
move-in voter, enter their new address. Click OK
to schedule printing of an updated voter information card and return
to the Find a Voter dialog.
Dismiss the Find a Voter dialog.
Note: If the
voter's new address validates against your local Streets table, the voter
will be moved into your county. If address cannot be validated, leave
the old residential address in the record until you can contact the voter
to confirm the address. Continue with the next step so that a voter response
can be recorded, even though the address appears to be invalid. Scheduling
of the voter information card does not occur if the address was not validated.
-
If you want to print the voter information card now:
- If
the Voter Card application is not already running, go to the Voter Focus console and start it.
- Access
the voter's record and click Printing.
- On
the Schedule Document Printing dialog, click Voter Card. The card
prints and the scheduled print job is removed from the Notices
Queue.
For more information about immediate printing
of a voter information card, see Voter Card Program.
-
Scan
the document and index it to the voter’s
record.
After changing a voter’s record from a voter response, you will notice
these changes:
-
On the Activity
tab, the last voter activity date is updated.
-
On the Audit tab, the name change, any address change, and voter information card are recorded.
-
On the Comms
tab, the name change, any address change, and voter information card
are added to the list of communications.
